Maspalomas Dunes

This unique natural area of vast sand dunes is one of the most iconic
landscapes of Gran Canaria. Often compared to a small desert by the sea, the
dunes invite you to go for walks, take photographs and enjoy spectacular
sunsets. They are world-renowned and clearly visible from the rooftop

Playas de Maspalamos & Del Inglés

These wide sandy beaches merge seamlessly into one another, forming a long
coastline that is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and long walks along the
dunes. Each moment of the day has its own atmosphere.

​Maspalomas Lighthouse (Meloneras)

This iconic 19th-century lighthouse marks the end of the beach and serves as
a landmark for the region. The surrounding promenade is ideal for a relaxed
stroll, with cafés, restaurants and shops close by.

​La Charca de Maspalomas

Located at the edge of the dunes, this peaceful lagoon is an important
resting place for various bird species. It is a pleasant spot for a short
walk and a quiet moment in a unique natural setting.

 Rábita Califal

Archaeological remains from the Islamic period, located in the park in front
of Casa Portos, about 200 metres walking distance. A quiet and atmospheric
place where history and nature meet.

Segura River and riverside promenade

The penthouse is located along the Segura River. From the rooftop terrace
and the kitchen you have beautiful views of the river, the hinterland and
the mountains where the sun sets. As soon as you step outside, you can start
walking directly along the riverside path towards the sea or inland.

Experiences focused on Gran Canaria's dramatic landscapes & outdoor beauty

  • Roque Nublo & Tejeda (±1h15) – One of Gran Canaria’s most iconic landmarks, offering a short walk to a spectacular viewpoint in the heart of the island, combined with a visit to the charming mountain village of Tejeda.

  • Pico de las Nieves (±1h15) – The highest point of the island, with wide panoramic views across Gran Canaria and, on clear days, Tenerife and Mount Teide.

  • Barranco de Guayadeque (±1h) – An impressive ravine known for its cave dwellings and  peaceful atmosphere. Along the valley you will find cave restaurants, and scenic walking routes through a remarkable landscape.

  • Güigüí Beach (±1h drive + ±2h walk) – One of the island’s most unspoilt beaches, accessible by boat or a challenging hike, perfect for adventurous nature lovers.

  • Stargazing in the Interior (±1–1.5h, evening) – Thanks to low light pollution, the mountainous interior is ideal for stargazing, with or without guided tours, offering a memorable evening experience.

  • Teror (±1h) – A picturesque historic town with traditional wooden balconies and the Basilica del Pino, especially lively on Sundays during the local market.

  • Arucas (±1h) – Best known for its striking neo-Gothic church, with the Arehucas rum distillery offering guided tours and tastings nearby.

  • Aloe Vera Farms (±45–60 min) – Visit local farms to discover how aloe vera is grown and processed, often with free visits and tastings.

  • Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (±1h) – The island’s capital, combining history, culture, shopping, and beach life, with highlights such as The Vegueta district and Las Canteras beach.

Coast & Relaxed escapes:

easy-going trips with a maritime or laid-back atmosphere.

  • Puerto de Mogán (±45 min) – A picturesque harbour town with white houses and small canals, often called “Little Venice,” ideal for strolling and seaside dining or simply enjoy the maritime atmosphere.

 

Tip for a relaxed holiday: combine no more than two or three stops per day. In the mountainous interior, bring sufficient water and a light jacket, as temperatures can be cooler than on the coast.
